Welcome to Gramo. By using the Gramo app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Gramo Does

Gramo is a protein tracking tool that uses artificial intelligence to estimate the protein content of food you describe in your own words. The app provides estimated ranges, not exact values, and is designed for general wellness awareness.

Not Medical Advice

Gramo is not a medical device, a clinical nutrition tool, or a substitute for professional dietary advice. The protein estimates provided by Gramo are AI-generated approximations and should not be used to make medical or clinical nutrition decisions.

If you have specific dietary requirements due to a medical condition (such as kidney disease, phenylketonuria, or other conditions requiring precise protein management), consult a healthcare professional. Do not rely on Gramo as your sole source of nutritional information.

Estimates Are Approximate

Protein estimates are generated by an AI model based on the text description you provide. These estimates:

• Are ranges, not exact values
• Depend on the specificity of your description -- vague descriptions produce wider ranges
• May vary if you submit the same description multiple times
• Should be treated as helpful approximations, not definitive measurements

We make no guarantee about the accuracy of any individual protein estimate.

Your Account

You create an account using Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Apple ID used to sign in. We cannot transfer accounts between Apple IDs.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers immediately and irreversibly.

Acceptable Use

When using Gramo, you agree to:

• Use the app for its intended purpose of tracking personal protein intake
• Provide food descriptions in good faith (the AI processes your text as food descriptions)
• Not attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service
• Not use automated scripts or bots to submit entries
• Not use the service in any way that violates applicable laws

We enforce a limit of 30 entries per user per day to ensure fair use of the service.

Intellectual Property

The Gramo name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property. Your food descriptions and personal data belong to you -- we do not claim ownership of the content you submit.

Service Availability

We strive to keep Gramo available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Entry creation requires an active internet connection.

Limitation of Liability

Gramo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any health outcomes resulting from use of or reliance on Gramo's estimates
• We are not liable for data loss, though we take reasonable steps to protect your data
• Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service (currently $0 for the free tier)

Termination

You may stop using Gramo at any time by deleting your account or uninstalling the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of Gramo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Gramo will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
